A physical sky plugin for cinema 4d? Who would need such a thing! This is not the end of the world. The plugin will show you how to create a realistic and detailed sky in your renderings. It has all the cloud options and pre-made skies, including sunrises and sunsets, available for you to use with one simple dial. The plugin is called "Physical Sky", and it is made by Chaosgroup. This article is not really about the plugin, but rather on how to create a realistic, high quality sky with cinema 4d. It can be used with any renderer that supports fprime, like Vray, Maxwell Render, Mental Ray (preferably 3.09+), Brazil r/s or FStorm. Why do you need the physical sky in the first place? Simply because it uses real world data on cloud positions and settings for accurate results. There are many clouds presets available inside the plugin to get you started quickly (you'll need to download some of them through Chaosgroup's website). But DO NOT use smudged, pretty or cartoon clouds or they will look very fake. If you are unsure, just take a look at the examples on the plugin's website. The plugin also allows you to create seamless integration with your v/a/m/e setup. You can use it with any renderer that supports fprime, but I will focus on Cinema 4D only because that is what I have experience with. Cinema 4D supports fprime (just like Photoshop) and this is the plugin's most important feature amongst many others. This is how it works: The sky can be seen using projection mapping (V-Ray or Maxwell renders only). Physical Sky has a lot of usage and can be used in many ways. It is essential for exterior shots, aerial shots, and special effects. You can use it with any renderer that supports fprime, but I will focus on Cinema 4D only because that is what I have experience with.Sky Types: There are different types of skies such as Clouds (not including preset clouds), Synth Skies (any color you want) and Natural Skies (real life sky). The last two types are the most realistic and useful ones, but they require render time and graphics card power. Clouds: This option will create a new scene with a pre-made sky cloud option. Synth Skies: This option will create a new scene with a pre-made sky cloud option in any color you want. Before creating in this plugin, one thing you should do is to know how to create fprime settings in Cinema 4D.1. Create a new Tab named "Clouds". 2. Place this Button there, don't forget it. 3. Place the Cloud Parameters in the same Tab under the Header called "Settings". After your scene is rendered, find where your clouds are located in your render result and click on File >Open Scene... > Open Scene Settings > Select the scene settings that contain the information you need for your environment. cfa1e77820
